Terry Burke

A Celebration of Life service was held for Terry Burke, age 80, at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Mt. Mariah Methodist Church. Rev. Perry Anderson officiated. Terry was born October 18, 1935 in St. Louis, MO to Edward and Mabel Wilson Burke. Terry worked for the GM Corporation from the age of 19. He started with stocking and moved on to bookkeeping, and advanced on to become district manager for many dealerships in the local area. He worked for 10 years at Red River Chevrolet in Shreveport and was a member of First United Methodist of Shreveport, before moving to Arcadia. After moving with his wife Diana to Arcadia, Terry purchased the Chevrolet dealership and named it Terry Burke Chevrolet. Terry was very involved in church and community activities. Terry is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Diana Burke, sister Sharon Fabacher and husband Peter, five nieces and their spouses and children.
