SHREVEPORT, LA – Celebration of Life services for Thomas E. (Tommy) Decker, 81, will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 12:00 PM in the Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Pastor Stephen E. Robinson and Brother Crawford Williams officiating. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Forest Park West, Shreveport, LA.
   The family would like to welcome guests for visitation from the hours of 10:00 AM until time of service on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the funeral home.
   Mr. Decker was born July 2, 1933, in Fort Madison, Iowa to Lawrence Joseph and Sophia Susan Brown Decker and called home September 3, 2014.   Tom Served in the US Air Force for ten years. By trade, he excelled in auto body repair working at Commercial Body Works for many years and for Wray Ford and Commercial Frame and Body. Anyone who knew Tom soon became aware of his passion for fishing. Tom loved the Lord and attended Pilgrim Nazarene Church where he was very passionate about the Youth Ministry. He cared deeply for Pastor Steve Robinson and his church family.
   Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife; Rhydonia Renois Decker, one brother; Paul Decker, four sisters; Patricia Doty, Fern Carpenter, Louise Pennebaker and Dolores James. Left to cherish the special memories of Tom will be his brother; Lawrence Decker and wife Delores, a stepson; Albert Prudhome and wife Marla, a step-daughter; Mary Pahl, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and numerous wonderful friends.
   Honoring Tom as pallbearers will be Jamie Loftin, Richard Manning, Bernie Tull, Larry James, Kevin Decker, Dwight Johnson, Mike Doty and Joe Copes.
   The family would like to express their appreciation to Amedisys Hospice Care for the kind, caring, compassion granted Tom and his family during this great time of need.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pilgrim Nazarene Academy, 5550 Jefferson Paige Road, Shreveport, LA 71119.
