Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Timothy Martinez will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Keith Garvin; interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery. A visitation for him will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Many Chapel from 5:00 PM-9:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Tim was born August 6, 1956 in Converse, LA to Josephine (Remedies) Martinez and Joseph Van (J.V.) Martinez and he entered into rest on January 9, 2021 in Many, LA.
He always loved to hunt, and fish and he looked forward to hunting seasons so he could spend most of his time at the camp with the Last Chance Hunting Club. He was always willing to lend a hand to any and every one that he could. He was a proud member of the Confederate Sons and of the Knights of Columbus at St. Joseph Catholic Church. In addition, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. One of Tim’s things he loved the most, was to be the local Santa Claus for everyone to enjoy and to celebrate the holiday with.
Preceding him in death were his father, J.V. Martinez; his daughter, Tammy Louise Martinez; his brother, Lynn Martinez; and his granddaughter, Malenia Martinez. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Mary (Parrie) Martinez; his mother, Josephine Martinez; his son, Chad Martinez & wife, Leedie of Zwolle, LA; his daughter, Elizabeth Martinez of Zwolle, LA; his sister, Patsy Martinez of Zwolle, LA, his sister, Luci Jo Parrie & husband, Dean of Zwolle, LA; his brother, Lester Martinez & wife, Linnie of Keithville, LA, his brother, Van Martinez & wife, Connie of Zwolle, LA: he also has 7 grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.
Honoring him as pallbearers will be Heath Dauphine, Jr., James Parrie, Jr., Dewayne Martinez, Chris Martinez, Aidan Martinez, Joe Doug Rivers, Shane Martinez, and Joseph Van Martinez. The Last Chance Hunting Club will serve as honorary pallbearers.
