BOSSIER CITY, LA - Funeral services for Tony Lewis, 83, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 20th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Tony was born February 6, 1933 in Shreveport, LA to Joe and Josephine Rosalee Lewis, and passed away on November 16, 2016 after a lengthy illness. He proudly served his country in the USAF, was owner/operator of Tony Lewis Mobile Home Sales for over 35 years. Tony was an avid Saints and LSU fan who loved going fishing and being with his family. In 1952 he married the love of his life, Georgia Vaughn Lewis and they spent 64 years together lived a wonderful life together. Tony was a longtime member of First Assembly of God where he faithfully served God and his church. He was a loving husband and father who will be missed. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Josephine Lewis, infant son, Tony Lewis, Jr., and sister, Laura Lewis LaVigne Scioneaux. Loved ones left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 64 years, Nellie Rose "Georgia" Vaughn Lewis; son, Tony Joe Lewis and wife, Alicia; daughter, Linda Dianne Lewis Greeson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Honoring Tony as pallbearers will be Bob Mead, Mike Prest, Darrel Halsey, Mark Williams, Vaughn Knippers, and Brian Cobb. Honorary pallbearer's Tommy Sanders and Dr. Charles Nash. The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff at Riverview Care Center, especially to Lauren, Neshia, and Debra for all the support, care and love you gave to our dad during the past few months; special thanks to Dr. Haddad and the Overton Brooks VA staff; special thanks to Aunt Katie for all your love and kindness you gave to our dad. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma, OK 73123 or to DAV Charitable Service Trust, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076.
