Traci Ann Pardue

Traci Ann Pardue, 23, wrote, "Life is hard. And it isn't always fair. And it can really hurt sometimes. But all we can do is brave what it throws at us and hope that these difficult roads lead us to beautiful destinations." Our beloved Traci reached her beautiful destination with her parents at her bedside on January 22, 2021, after an intrepid battle with a brain tumor. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, off Mansfield Road. The graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Park West Cemetery, conducted by Pastor Lowell Kenyan of River Valley Church. Pallbearers will be Ryan Pardue, Tanner Mays, Chase Swan and Hayden Swan. Traci was born on December 31, 1997 and grew up in Shreveport. She was a 2016 alumna of C.E. Byrd High School where she participated in JROTC, serving as Caddo Parish Corp Commander. She attended Louisiana Tech University in Ruston and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Management. She was pursuing her master degree and working at Fibrebond in Minden. Traci volunteered at 4Paws Rescue in Ruston and The Lovewell Center in Shreveport. Louisiana Tech University will be awarding a scholarship in her name in the College of Business. She is preceded in death by grandparents, Don and Geneva Durr and Marvin and Lovilla Pardue. Those left to cherish and honor her memory are her parents, Ronald and Angela Pardue; brother, Ryan and wife Haylee Pardue of Frisco, Tx; boyfriend, Zach Fussell of Benton; uncles, Bruce (Patria) Pardue of New Boston, TX and their children (Elizabeth, Tiffany, Kristi and Kayla); and Brian (Twyla) Pardue of Winston-Salem, NC and their children: Terry (Rachel), Kendal (Shane) and Cyndi (Patrick); uncle and aunt, Don and Michelle Durr of Shreveport; cousins, Emily (Tyler) Keltz and their daughter, Georgia; Laura Durr, and Caroline Durr, all of Shreveport, as well as close friends she adored, including the Goblins (Morgan, Bailey, Haley, Brooke and Emily) as well as Rayvin and Acquiria. Traci loved books, collecting, and reading the classics as well as numerous fictional series. She enjoyed watching animated movies. She was a connoisseur of chocolate milk and liked a little Tony's on her food! She was smart and quiet, thoughtful, and determined. Horace's "Carpe diem" was her motto, and although Traci was most certainly goal oriented, she always sought little adventures along her way! The family asks that you spend time with your loved ones and friends and for those who desire to make a donation in Traci's name, instead of flowers, they suggest 4Paws Rescue, The Lovewell Center or St. Joseph's Hospice. They give special thanks to Victoria who provided loving care to Traci and her parents, as well as the staff and doctors of Willis-Knighton Cancer Center.
