SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Velma Davis Boswell will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Msgr. Earl Provenza of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Pierce-McNutt Cemetery in the Collinsburg Community near Plain Dealing, LA. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Bossier City, LA. She was born September 23, 1925 in Halifax, LA to John and Elisebella Davis and passed away July 5, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and a retired waitress. Her husband, E.J. Boswell, Sr., parents and a grandson precede her in death. She is survived by her son, E.J. Boswell, Jr. and wife, Pamela; daughters, Diane McNutt and Charles Pierce, Cindy Woodward; brothers, Joe Bill Davis, Charlie Davis, Tony Davis; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Honoring Velma as pallbearers are John Davis, Paul Davis, Windol Davis, Michael Davis, Tony Boswell and Bobby McNutt.
