She married Francis LaGrange at a young age and in the early 1960's the family moved to Avoyelles Parish from Arnaudville, La. It was there she raised her family and took interest in sewing. That became her past time initially. She would sew mostly for her family at that time but became well known for her craft and soon began sewing for friends as well. Known as Mrs. Rose to most people, there was nothing that she could not sew or alter. From wedding gowns and war reenactment outfits; to prom dresses and cheerleader outfits, Mrs. Rose did it all with great pride in her work. She stayed up late many nights to make sure the outfits were ready in time. She made great friends along the way.   Along that seamstress path, she became a great woman of faith. Anyone that know her could tell you this the first time meeting her. She would encourage and pray and always had an open ear to listen. During that time, she became involved with several prayer groups, most notably The Good News Prayer Group where meetings were held weekly to sing, praise and listen to the gospel. Mrs. Rose knew her calling and was faithful with what God had given her and what He chose for her to do.   As she became older, she would spend time in her flower beds making sure that all of her flowers were looking at their best. She could always be seen watering her plants on a hot summer evening, making sure they kept their longevity. She was proud of her green thumb and many times would offer gardening advice and secrets to anyone who would ask.   In her later years, through the pain and sleepless nights, her faith never wavered. She was often heard praying and saying "God will perform a miracle either here or in Heaven". That miracle came on September 20, 2021 when God called her home to live with Him in eternity. Her prayers were answered!
