Funeral mass for Vera Agnes Santos Miller, 90, will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Stonewall, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the St. Ann’s Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Father Joseph Martina.

Vera was born on July 20, 1930 to Joseph Santos and Lena Mena Santos in Noble, Louisiana and passed away on January 16, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana.,

Vera was a resident of Keithville, Louisiana and a homemaker and sitter. She graduated from Noble High School and was a member of St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Catholic Church. She loved reading her Bible every day, visiting with friends and family, fishing, playing dominoes and bingo. She loved the Lord and her family with all her heart.

Vera is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Fletcher Miller of 56 years; sister, Elvia Procell Paddie; brother, Joseph Paddie. Left to cherish her memory is sister, Mary Verda Santos Weldon; brother, Vernon Santos; children, Charles Robert Miller and wife, Gloria, Elvera Miller, Glenn Miller; grandchildren, Stephanie Ann Miller, Christy Ann Holmes and husband, C.D., Eric Nathan Miller, Leah Jo Miller, Frances Marie Miller, Glenda Elder and husband, Dustin, Jason Michael Miller, Jimmy Washburn, Glenn Washburn Miller, Jr., and William Miller; great-grandchildren, Skylar, Braxton, Zachery, Brayden, Lydia, Megan, Chance, Katelyn, Jacob, Nathan, Ayden; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honoring Vera as pallbearers will be Dustin Elders, Brandon Owen, Jason Miller, Royce Paddie, Mark Santos and Jimmy Washburn.

The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Heritage Manor South Nursing Home for the love and compassion shown to Vera. She loved her friends there and each and every member of the staff.
