Vera M. Rodrigues

Funeral services for Vera M. Rodrigues, 92, will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West, 4000 Meriwether Road, Shreveport. A visitation will be held Friday, January 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Vera was born on August 19, 1928 to Charles W. Rodrigues and Theresa Moore Rodrigues in the Spanish Lake Community in Robeline, Louisiana and passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 in Shreveport. Vera was a resident of Shreveport and was a member of the Caddo Adai Indian Tribe. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shreveport. She possessed a deep love of family and friends. She worked in sales most of her life and had a real love for people. She was like a second mother to her nieces and nephews and to anyone that needed someone to love and care about them. She is preceded in death by her soul mate, W.E. Taylor, Sr.; parents; sisters, Stella Rosalies, Pearl Mallett; brothers, Jack Digmon, Jr., Smiley Rodrigues, and Thomas B. Rodrigues. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Barbara Taylor Smith; son, Danny Taylor and wife, Sarah; grandsons, Shane Taylor, Christopher Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express special thanks to the nurses and doctors at the Willis-Knighton Emergency Room for the care and compassion provided for her final days and all the employees at Heritage Manor South for giving her years of care and happiness.
