Wade Garrett Williams

Funeral services for Wade Garrett Williams will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Northpoint Community Church, 4204 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend Tommy Rush. Wade was born on August 16, 1990 to Kimberly and Lanny Williams, Jr. in Nassau Bay, Texas and passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020. Wade was a talented football player in high school and college. As a player at Groveton High School in Groveton, Texas he was selected as All State Defensive End. Not only serving as Captain for two years, he started for Northwestern State University all four years of college before receiving his Bachelors of Psychology and Master of Psychology. He also served on the Leadership Team for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes during his time at NSU. He was in his final year of Louisiana Tech's Counseling Psychology Doctoral Program. Wade quickly rose through the ranks at his job at Rehabilitation Services and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Wade loved people and was a friend to everyone, always willing to lend himself to others and never passing up a stranded car on the side of the road. He enjoyed the outdoors and adventure. He had a passion for working out which he shared with the Men of Christ Fit Gym and a love for paintball which he enjoyed with his Task Force Tiger teammates. Above all his passions and interests, his beautiful wife Amanda and his babies were his whole life and he loved them dearly. Wade attended Northpoint Community Church where he served on the Security Team. He loved the Lord and enjoyed being a witness for Him to others. Wade is survived by his wife, Amanda Williams; daughter, Rosalie Mae Williams and another precious baby due in August; parents, Kimberly and Lanny Williams, Jr.; grandparents, Lanny and Betty Williams and brothers, Ross Williams, Heath Williams, Zachary Williams and Calvin Williams. Honoring Wade as pallbearers will be Cody Cloud, Allen Klare, Lane Johnson, Casidhe Leonard, Steven Rickert and Michael McConathy. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ross Williams, Heath Williams, Zach Williams, Calvin Williams, Ryan Stewart, Jace Stewart, Eric Hardaway, Coach Jay Thomas, the Northwestern State University Football Family, Task Force Tiger and the Men of Christ Fit Gym. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wade Williams Groveton Ex-Students Scholarship Fund or to The Scholarship for Rosalie and Baby Williams.
