Vivian, LA. - Funeral services for Walter Eugene "Gene" Paulette, age 82 will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2016 at The Vivian Church of the Nazarene, 1517 N. Pine Street, Vivian, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Sherrill Stiles, assisted by Rev. John Ford. Interment will follow at Enon Cemetery in Ravanna, AR. There will be time of visitation on Saturday, December 10^th from 6-8 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA. Gene was born on July 14, 1934 in Superior, LA to James Walter Paulette and Bessie Belle Weaver Paulette and passed away on December 7, 2016 at North Caddo Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was a resident of Vivian, LA., retired Oilfield Drilling Superintendent and a member of the Vivian Church of the Nazarene. His greatest joy after his retirement was taking care of his grandchildren. Gene is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Chelious Marie, sister, Naomi Belle Barlow, Willie Page Terry and Bessie Elizabeth Paulette; brothers, Emmer James Paulette and granddaughter, Kristen Paulette Young. He is survived by his sons, James "Jay" W. Paulette and fiancé`, Patricia Adams, and Joey Dewayne Paulette; grandchildren, Jamie L. Paulette and wife, Pansy, Joshua D. Paulette and fiancé, Angela, Kelly B. Reed and husband, Shawn, Lindsey N. Herring and husband, Tim and Rachel Fuller and husband, Ben. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Makendra, Holly, Tasha, Cory, Madisyn, Alivia, Savanna, Gracie, Jacob, B. T., Marly, Kain, Christian, Titus, Maverick and Noah. Honoring Gene as pallbearers will be Jamie Paulette, Jay Paulette, Joey Paulette, Shawn Reed, Josh Paulette and Tim Herring. Honorary pallbearer will be Jacob Tyler and Cory Paulette.
