Wanda Straka

Shreveport, LA - A graveside service for Wanda McCain Straka, 86, will be held 12 noon Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Forest Park West Cemetery. Wanda was born on March 1, 1928, and passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015. Wanda was born in Natchitoches Parish, LA and graduated from Castor High School. She was preceded in death by her first husband Russell Louvier and her daughter, Diane Harvey. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Bill Straka, one son, Michael Louvier and wife Marie, and grandson Dillon of Jacksonville, FL, sister, Jean Saxon, brother, Leonard McCain and wife Marge and step-children, Patricia Tokoi, Debi Dondero and husband Frank and Bill Straka, Jr, and many nieces and nephews. Wanda's sweet smile and kindness will be missed. Wanda will always be remembered for the love she had for family and friends and her joy in sharing her talents of playing the piano and organ for her church. She was a member of the choir for many years at Christ United Methodist Church, Broadmoor Methodist Church and the Methodist Church in Eureka Springs, AR. She will be singing with the angels now. The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Manor Stratmore and Hospice Life Path of Shreveport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
