Wayne Grissom

Arcadia - Graveside services for Wayne Grissom, age 44, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2020 at New Bethel Cemetery in Arcadia. Rev. Stephen Beard will officiate. A visitation will be held from 9:00 until service time on Friday, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia. Wayne was born June 22, 1976, in Ruston, Louisiana to Robert "Bobby" and Christine Wyatt Grissom. He met his Lord and Savior on September 7, 2020. Wayne worked in the oilfield industry before getting sick 10 years ago. He was also a butcher on the side. Wayne was a Christian; he found the Lord and was baptized 4 years ago. Wayne enjoyed spending time with close family and friends. He was a true outdoorsman. Wayne loved hunting, running dogs, fishing, mud riding, and just enjoyed being outside. But most of all, Wayne enjoyed teaching his daughter Jayce all about his love for the outdoors. His daughter Jayce was his reason for living. She was a daddy's girl, and his world. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents Bobby and Christine Grissom, son Remington Wayne Grissom, and father-in-law Roger Baird. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Alisha Baird Grissom, son Austin Wayne Grissom, daughter Jayce Lynn Grissom, mother-in-love Debbie Baird, sisters Nikki Barnett and Margaret Lasyone, and by numerous other nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. Honoring Wayne as pallbearers will be Darron Pullig, Tommy Smith, Joey Trantham, Sawyer Wages, Robert Smith, Jr., and Bo Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Heath Smith, Justin Baird, Wade Pullig, and Joey Smith. The family requests that those in attendance wear their boots, jeans, a fishing shirt, or a camouflage shirt.
