Calvin is preceded in death by his father, W.M. "Bill" Beasley, Jr. and brother, Allen Beasley. Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Patricia Ann Beasley of Bossier City, LA; mother, Saralynn Dudney Beasley of Fort Worth, TX; three children, Justin McLawchlin and wife, Melissa, of Shreveport, LA, and Blake McLawchlin and Ashley McLawchlin, both of Bossier City, LA; sister, Beth Lytner and husband, David of Burleson, TX; brother-in-law, Louis Abington and wife, Dorothy, of Gepp, AR; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and his best friend since college, Sam Mangum, of Ruston, LA. Born June 22, 1955 in Magnolia, Arkansas, Calvin and his family moved around the country following his father's work in the Oil and Gas Industry, his favorite memories being the time spent in Alaska. After moving to Shreveport his senior year of high school, Calvin went on to play football for Captain Shreve and Louisiana Tech. He was known for being an avid sportsman that loved football, softball, basketball and his true passion, golf. Following in his father's footsteps, Calvin worked as an Independent Landman, traveling all across the nation. In 1994, he married Tricia and gained three beloved children in the process. Working alongside each other, they built a thriving oil and gas brokerage firm where many of their independent contractors became like family. Calvin was a truly kind and generous man, lending help to others without wanting recognition, even after his health significantly declined. He fought a hard fight and will be deeply missed by friends, family and all who knew him. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all of those that sent prayers over the past year and a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Fresenius Pierremont Dialysis Center for the care and compassion shown to Calvin these past eight years.
