Shreveport, LA- Funeral services celebrating the life of William "Bill" Carson, 72 will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath\'s Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Dr. Shreveport, LA on Thursday, June 4, 2020. Interment will follow at Northwest Louisiana Veteran's Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Bill was born on February 20, 1948 in Cleveland, MS to Owen and Adell Carson. He suddenly passed away on May 31,2020. He was a long time resident of Shreveport. He served in the U.S. Army and then went on to work at Western Electric/AT&T for 31 years. After retiring he went to work for Down Home Meats for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lynda Mathis and Ann Hale. Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 38 years, Pamela Worley Carson; daughter, Tammy Carson Oliver and husband Johnny; sons, Joshua Carson and fiancé Dawn Young, Owen Carson and wife Tonia; grandchildren, Kaylynne, Kayleigh and Kenzie Oliver and Joshua William Carson Jr. (J.W.); sister, Nanette Boothe and husband Charles; numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Honoring Bill as pallbearers will be Josh Carson, Derrick Mathis, Brian Mathis, Jimmy Franks, Jodie Gary and Zach Davidson.
