SHREVEPORT, LA – A Mass of Christian Burial for William “Bill” Sandford Sellers, 55, will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2017, at St. Clements Catholic Church, 819 N. Pine Street, Vivian, LA with Father James McLelland officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at Doyline Cemetery, Doyline, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 6, 2017, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA.

Bill was born June 12, 1962, in Alexandria, LA to Jerelyn Doyle Sellers and Stephen Wentworth Sellers and died of complications from advanced liver cancer just weeks after he was diagnosed on August 1, 2017, in Shreveport, LA.

Bill graduated from Wentworth Military Academy in 1980. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication and Public Relations from LSUS in 1989. Bill was an announcer on Red River Radio for seven years and a master control operator at KSLA and KTBS for ten years. For the past ten years he worked for Best Buy and was the Samsung expert.

He was a member of Saint Clement Catholic Church. He enjoyed jazz, rock, and alternative music, nature walks, and bird watching. Bill synchronized the clocks in his house each day.

He gave us the gifts of his time, his love, and his example to go by. He did everything he did to the best of his ability.

Bill is preceded in death by his mother Jerelyn Doyle Sellers. He is survived by his father, Stephen Wentworth Sellers; his brother, John McLeaish; his wife of 15 years, Rachel Demascal Sellers; and his two children Serena and Dylan. He was a loving son, husband, devoted father, brother, and true friend to all that knew him, he will be missed.

The family suggests contributions may be made in his memory to The Providence House, 814 Cotton Street, Shreveport, LA, 71101, www.theprovidencehouse.com.
