Louise was born November 21, 1926, in Fryeburg, LA. She went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully in her home of 64 years in Shreveport, LA, on December 2, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Gladys Swain; baby sister, Linda Swain; husband, Charlie Poole; son, Martin Poole; grandson, Gabriel Poole; daughter-in-law, Dianne Poole; and pets, Ginger, Molly, and Precious.
Louise was raised as an only child and is survived by six of her children, Russel Poole, Roger Poole and wife Sandy, Steve Poole and wife Jan, Martha Kendrick, Carolyn Price and husband Claude, and Peggy Williams and husband Jerry; daughter-in-law, Pam Poole; 16 grandchildren, Tracey Ezell and husband Mike, Kelley Poole, Ryan Poole and wife Melanie, Brandon Poole, Brian Poole, Scott McDaniel and wife Stacie, Dustin McDaniel, Kim Wise and husband Josh, Shelley Massey, Aaron Kendrick and wife Crystal, Kami McDaniel and husband Jared, Brooke Mitch and husband Jason, Caleb Price, Jeremy Williams, and Brittany McInnis and husband Steven; 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves her kitties, Ebony and Gray Boy.
Louise graduated from Minden High School and at age 50 received her Registered Nurse degree from Northwestern University. She had a passion for nursing and practiced at Willis-Knighton Shreveport Health Unit and home health Gentiva, retiring only at the encouragement of her family at the age of 72.
Louise was a member of Shreveport Community Church and enjoyed volunteering at the Winners Circle Distribution Center in previous years.
Louise loved all people and they loved her in return, especially her family who will miss her forever.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Rev. Brian Opbroek officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Poole, Tristan Wise, Chase Wise, Rio Thorn, Creighton Massey, and Scott McDaniel.
