Agilee Kyle Barrett

Agilee Kyle Barrett, 94 years young of Bossier City, Louisiana, but formerly of Vivian made her heavenly transition on Friday, November 10, 2023, and is now dancing with the angels.

Agilee was born at home in Tenaha, Texas on June 18, 1929, to Frank and Willie Kyle. She was married to Royce Don Barrett for over 40 years. She was a homemaker in her earlier years and later became a Paraprofessional at Vivian Elementary School for 16 years. She was an excellent cook and had a true caretaker's heart. She was known to reach out to widowed and elderly friends and still cared about her many friends and residents of Brookdale Assisted Living where she resided for over 10 years. She had a great love for dancing and went as often as she could. She made a lot of really wonderful friendships along the way. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

Agilee was preceded in death by her parents; Benjamin Frank Kyle and Willie Newton Kyle; husband, Royce Don Barrett; brother, Lauren Kyle; and sister, Gloria Kyle Gunter. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Wayne Barrett and wife, Sharon, Rodney Barrett and wife, Donna; daughter, Lori Barrett Sistrunk and husband, Steve; five grandchildren, Nicole Barrett Bryson, Ginger Barrett Hope, Brandon Lee Sistrunk, Lauren Barrett Ward, and Jake Barrett; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Marlin Kyle; sisters, Bobbie Kyle Savoy and Zola Kyle Meche; along with many nieces nephews and loved ones.

A Graveside service for Agilee Kyle Barrett will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Old Center Cemetery, 7086 FM 699 Tenaha, Texas, at 2:30 p.m. A visitation will be held at Watson and Sons Funeral Home, 1554 State Hwy 7 E, Center Texas, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Honoring Agilee as pallbearers will be Brandon Sistrunk, David Thompson, Jake Barrett, Karl Meche, Kirk Meche and Steve Thompson. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Clay Gunter and Kyle Meche.

The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living, Cypress Point Nursing Home, and Amedisys Hospice Care for all the excellent care they provided and to Dr. Diana Lim for the many years of care and for keeping her thriving and healthy.
