A.J. Nicholson

Bossier City, LA - A graveside service for A.J. Nicholson, 94, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Fillmore Cemetery, Haughton, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Brad Brittain. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday, just prior to the graveside service, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City. A.J. was born to Floy and Wilbur Nicholson on March 28, 1923 in Dubberly, LA and died July 17, 2017 in Bossier City. He was a U.S. Veteran (U.S. Army) and the retired owner of Nicholson Electronics Co. He was a member of Trinity Heights Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laverlen Thornton Nicholson and his parents. A.J. is survived by his daughters, Lera Nicholson Brittain (Grady), Janet Nicholson Nash, and Patti Nicholson Deaver (Craig); sister, Ethel Pearson; brother, Pierce Nicholson; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons. The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to the administration, staff and residents at Colonial Oaks.
