AJ Spears

SHREVEPORT, LA - A.J. Spears joined his many friends and family in Heaven on September 10, 2016. Services celebrating his life will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Rev. Daniel Nelson will be officiating. Interment will be held at the NWLA Veterans Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. He was born October 28, 1926 to William P. Spears and Bertie Williams Spears in Hornbeck, Louisiana. Preceding AJ in death were his parents, 6 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Miami Bridges Spears; daughters, Karen Spears McCall and husband Johnny and Sandra Spears O'Farrill and husband Rick; grandchildren, Krystal Lenee McCall, Katie Dianne McCall and Brandon Pouncy; great-grandchildren, Kailiah, Kinsley, Bray, and Adley; his sister, Maxine Spears Byrd. The family would like to send a special Thank-you to Dr. Russell Tynes and Dr. Fredrick J. White for all the love and care throughout the years.
