HAYNESVILLE, LA: A memorial service will be held graveside for Mr. Albert L. Kirk, age 81, at Pinehill Cemetery near Haynesville, LA, on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. Richard Jones, officiating weather permitting. Repass will be held at Hatter Chapel for immediate family after service. Due to Covid19 masks are required. Masks will not be provided. Mr. Kirk was born on December 10, 1938, in Haynesville, LA, to Alfounder and Maggie Washington Kirk. He entered into rest on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at his residence near Haynesville, LA. Mr. Kirk was a member of the Board of Trustee at Hatter Chapel Freewill Baptist Church where he also served his Lord as a deacon, Assistant Sunday School Superintendent, and Bible Study teacher. He was an avid golfer who tremendously enjoyed a round or two. If not golfing, Mr. Kirk appreciated a game of dominos. After living in Ohio for many years, he and his family moved to Louisiana where he had the ability to burn trash, wood, or old boxes which became one of his favorite pass time. He was a Dawg Pound lover of the original Cleveland Browns and presently a Baltimore Raven\'s #1 fan. Mr. Kirk was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, and a sister.He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gloria Dean Brown Kirk; two sons, Andre' Kirk of Tampa, FL and Gayland Kirk of Gulf Breeze, FL; three daughters, Stephanie Morrow of Dallas, TX, Sylvia Kirk of Dallas, TX, and Monica Beene-Ridley of Haynesville, LA; step-mother. Margaret Kirk; two sisters, Nateasie Kendrick of Ft. Worth, TX and Mararia Adams of Benton, LA; three brothers, Charles Henderson of Portland, OR, Alphonso Kirk of CA, and Claudel Bell of Haynesville, LA; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.In lieu of flowers honoring Mr. Kirk, his family suggests memorials be made to Hatter Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, 1770 Murphy Dr., Haynesville, LA 71038.
