Alena Faye Walker

Funeral Services for Alena Faye Walker, 83, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Mark Crook from Trees Baptist Church of Vivian, Louisiana. Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will be at Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport, LA. Alena was born on February 18, 1934 to Annie Maude Caskey Bryant and Archie Lee Bryant, Sr. and went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 20, 2018. Alena was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Johnny Ray Walker; her parents; sisters, Willa Dean Cummings, Pauline Higgins; brother; Archie Lee Bryant, Jr., Drew Bryant and Leland Wayne Bryant. Left to cherish her beautiful memories are her children, Patricia F.W. Ginn and husband Michael, Diane W. Curry and husband Tommy, Sherie W. Holsted and husband Kenny; her 8 grandchildren, Melisa Glasgow and husband Chris, Christy Fertenbaugh and husband Shawn, Cheryl Harris and husband Brad, Cathy Sepulvado and husband Bryan, Johnny Johns and wife Randee, Alena Stevens and husband Andy, Jason Johns and wife Brittany and Tommy Greening, Jr.; her 18 great grandchildren; one sister, Lola Mae Cobb and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Brad Harris, Shawn Fertenbaugh, Hunter Fertenbaugh, Bryan Sepulvado, Andy Stevens and Cody Conly.
