Alex Crawford Lane Alex Crawford Lane, 23, was born on October 1, 1991 in Shreveport, LA and passed away September 12, 2015. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Rose-Neath Marshall St. Chapel with Rev. Francis Kamau officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Marshall St. Alex was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle and friend. You rarely saw him with anything but a smile on his face! He had so much love in his heart and he absolutely loved being with his family and friends. Holidays, birthday parties, summer pool parties or just hanging out playing cards and dominoes, quality time was important to him! Alex wanted nothing more than for everyone around him to be happy and have a good time! He truly touched the lives of everyone he met. He also enjoyed watching football and playing video games. He especially loved the LSU Tigers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. All of these things are what made him such a wonderful young man. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Crawford Lane. Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Pamela Connor Lane and Richard Allen Lane, II; sister, Jacqueline Jennings and husband Jared; brothers, Ricky Lane and wife Shirley, Joseph Preston and wife Holly, Brian Lane, and Cody Booth; grandparents, Ivan Connor and Yvonne Connor, Rita Ross Connor; nieces, Kaitlyn and Emerie; nephews, Jace, Bryce, Brooks, Johnathan, and Tanner; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Alex, you will be dearly missed by all who knew you. We love you and we take comfort in knowing you will be looking down on us every day with a huge smile on your face. Until we see you again
