Alice Marie Jarrett

  SHREVEPORT, LA - Alice Marie Gour Jarrett of Shreveport, LA, born December 27, 1924 in Zwolle, LA, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at the age of 92. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. Jarrett; parents, Eula Gour Hughes and Alfred Gour; sister, Bertha Day; brother, James Gour; and grandson, Mark Jarrett. She is survived by sister, Dorothy Gour Walton; brother, Raymond Gour; sons, David E. Jarrett and wife, Sally of Old Hickory, TN, Billy Ray Jarrett and wife, Diane of Shreveport; grandchildren, Michael Jarrett and Kyle Jarrett of Mt. Juliet, TN, Jason Jarrett of Shreveport, and Shannon Jarrett Geis of Forney, TX; along with 10 great-grandchildren. For many years, Alice, was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church and Kingston Road Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017, at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, LA. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Rev. Crawford Williams will be officiating. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Honoring Alice as pallbearers will be, Jason Jarrett, Michael Jarrett, Kyle Jarrett, Ronnie Gour, Jimmy Ray Gour, and Bert Woods. The family wishes the thank the Glen Retirement Village, especially Jennifer Phillips and Patricia Hall, and Willis-Knighton Pierremont Emergency room, and 7^th floor Step-Down unit for their excellent care.
