Funeral services for Allen L. "Smitty" Smith will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Union Church in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Floyd Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Smitty was born August 4, 1932 in Evergreen, Louisiana and entered into rest August 14, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his first wife Nancy Smith, parents W.A. and Tahlee Smith, brother Wayne Smith, and stepson Herbert Brown, Jr. He is survived by his wife Esther Smith of Livingston, Texas, son Allen Wayne Smith and wife Gwen of League City, Texas, daughter Terri Smith Jackson and husband Edward of Texas City, Texas, stepson Dwight N. Brown of Houston, Texas, stepdaughter Gwen Brown Jones of Sargeant, Texas, grandchildren Jaime Hart, Beverly Baker, Courtney Smith, Tiffany Blissit, and seven great-grandchildren.
