Alma Marie Womack

SHREVEPORT, LA - Graveside services for Alma Ott Womack will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Forest Park West Cemetery. Rev. Robert Beadle will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Alma was born February 3, 1921 in Jackson Parish, Louisiana to William Allen Ott and Emma Magnolia Reed Ott, and passed away on May 8, 2017. Alma met and married the love of her life, Charlie Allen Womack on June 1, 1940. She was devoted and dedicated to her family. Alma was very proud to be a Breast Cancer survivor for almost 50 years. Alma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, Charlie A. Womack; three brothers and seven sisters. She is survived by her son, Charles Gregory "Greg" Womack and wife, Karen; daughter, Nelda Sue Womack Wainwright and husband, James; grandchildren, Charles Womack and wife, Marsha, Kelli Ramos and husband, Martin, and Janna Wainwright; great-grandchildren, Trevor Wainwright, Peyton Elise Ramos and, Hadley Elizabeth Ramos; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Alan Borne and Highland Place Nursing Home, for all the loving care and support they gave Alma through the years.
