Almeda Holmes

Funeral services for Almeda Nunley Holmes, 81, will be held at Shreveport Community Church on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 11:00 am. Reverend Denny Duron will be officiating with Reverend Brian Opbroek assisting. Visitation with the family will be held at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 6 until 8:00 pm. Interment will be at Forest Park West after services. Almeda was born on March 18, 1937 to Myra Lee and William Henry Nunley in Logansport, LA. Almeda was preceded in death by her beloved husband Milburn Blair; parents; daughter, Pamela Suzanne Talley; five brothers and two sisters. Left to cherish her beautiful memories are her daughter, Leslie Hill and husband Tony; son, David Scott Holmes of New Orleans; sisters, Etoil Langford of Lufkin, TX and Mavis Reel of Deer Park, TX; five grandsons; four great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.
