Memorial services for Alva R. English will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Leon Boggs officiating. The family will receive friends one-hour prior service time.
Alva was born January 1, 1941 in Minden, Louisiana and entered into rest November 27, 2017 in Homer, Louisiana. He was a retired Mud Logger and sold insurance for many years.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brandon English and brother, Wilton English.
He is survived by his sisters Elsie Sewell and husband Bob on Humble, Texas, June Crossley of Bastrop, and Harriett Pearson of Conroe, Texas, brother, Ben English and wife Linda of Onawa, Iowa, sister-in-law, Ann English of Lago Vista, Texas, mother of his son, Brenda English of Athens, and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.
