Alvin Roy Zeagler

SHREVEPORT, LA - A Memorial Service for Alvin Roy Zeagler, 65, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2017, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. A visitation with his family will follow after his service at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Mimi McDowell.

Roy was born on July 17, 1951 in Columbia, LA to Emma Jean Ong Zeagler and Alvin Zeagler and passed away January 12, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. He was in the Oil and Gas Industry for 45 years, owning his own business from 1991 until the present, in Oil and Gas service. He loved the OU Sooners. Roy was a loving and devoted husband, and friend to many that will be missed by all that knew him.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Barbara Macre Zeagler of Shreveport, LA; step-son, Darryl Yank of Pennsylvania; half-sister, Julie Harris and husband, Johnny of Oklahoma City; extended family, Chris Hickerson and wife, Charlene of Kingfisher, OK; four nieces, one nephew, seven great-nieces, and their families. He will be missed by his dog Callie and special cat Pumpkin.

The family suggests memorials may be made to any animal charity of the donor's choice.
