SHREVEPORT, LA - A Memorial Service for Amber Huffman Watt, 36, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. James E. Flowers, Jr.
Amber was born in Shreveport, LA on May 11, 1979 to Charles Robert Huffman and Cynthia Lee Phillips Huffman and passed away on May 7, 2016, in Shreveport, LA. She graduated from Loyola College Prep, Agnes Scott College and Tulane University Law School; Amber graduated from both institutions Magna Cum Laude, and studied at the University of London. She was an Attorney at the Cook Yancey Law Firm. She was raised in the Greenwood United Methodist Church and was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral. Amber was an avid runner, and also developed a passion for reading at the young age of four from her great-grandmother, Emma Dunn. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, niece, and friend. She was a bright light to us all and will be missed by us all.
Surviving Amber is her husband, Christopher Evans Watt; two daughters, Anna Elizabeth Watt and Emma Blythe Watt; parents, Charles Robert Huffman and Cynthia Lee Huffman; brother, Aaron Robert Huffman; maternal grandmother, Ellise Dunn Wissing; paternal grandparents, Charles and Burette Huffman; in-laws, Ron and Elizabeth Flowers Pedersen.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to the donor's choice.
