Amose "John" Gooden, Jr.

Funeral services honoring the life of Amose "John" Gooden, Jr., 64, will be at 11:00 AM Friday, June 30, 2017 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA with Reverend Larry Pridmore officiating. Burial will follow at Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Carmel Community, LA. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 6:00 PM till 8:00PM. John was born on April 3, 1953 in Lake Charles, LA to Amose and Alma Gooden, Sr. and entered into rest on June 26, 2017. Preceding John in death are his wife, Carol Barrilleaux Gooden and his parents, Amose and Alma Gooden, Sr. John leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Amose John "Trey" Gooden, III and wife Donna; two daughters, Nicole Houston and husband Charlie; Holly Gooden and Vernon; two brothers, Alfred Jerrell Gooden and wife LaJuana; Adrian Jerry Gooden and wife Beverly; one sister, Ava Joyce Gooden; and six grandchildren, Carol Kimble, Seth Houston, Colby Houston, Ryleigh East, A.J. Gooden, IIII and Aubrey Gooden. Honoring him as pallbearers are Jerrell Gooden, Adrian Gooden, Jay Gooden, Josh Gooden, Jesse Gooden, Thomas Tuck, Steven Bissell, and Seth Houston. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Windham, Sr., Jim Ruffin, Colby Houston, Ryleigh East, and A.J. Gooden, IIII.
