SHREVEPORT, LA - Andrew "Jack" Roe, Jr., 92, was called home by his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Graveside services for Jack will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2015 at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Dana Casey will be officiating. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service Friday at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
Jack proudly served his country in World War II and had many war stories he loved to share with his friends. Jack worked for C.C. Hardman Paint Co. and later opened Jack Roe Paint Co. on Kings Hwy., which remained in operation until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and sports fan and could talk for hours with his brother and friends trying to straighten all the teams out.
Jack was preceded in death by his mother, Maude Harvey Roe, father, A.J. Roe, Sr., his wife, Lula Hines Roe, brother, Fred Roe, granddaughter, Leslie Havard and son-in-law, Cary Havard. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Sally Havard; grandson, Shane Havard and his family; brother, Robert G. Roe; a niece and 4 nephews.
