Angelina Gloria Bruno Manno, 86, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, was called home to spend time with her heavenly Father on Sunday, February 19, 2017. She will be dearly missed by family, friends, the Citizens of the Shreveport-Bossier Community and business acquaintances. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Marshall Street on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and a Catholic Vigil and Rosary will follow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Shreveport, LA. Concelebrants will be Msgr. Earl Provenza, Msgr. Carson Lacaze, and Rev. Charles Glorioso. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery on Saint Vincent Avenue. Angie, as her friends affectionately called her, the older of two sisters, was born on August 26, 1930 to Sam and Sarah Bruno in Shreveport. She attended C. E. Byrd High School in Shreveport and after attending one year at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA she received her undergraduate degree from Centenary College of Louisiana. Upon graduation she stayed in the Shreveport-Bossier Community where she taught Home Economics and served in the banking industry at 1st National Bank of Shreveport, until she joined forces with her husband John A. Manno, Sr. in the creation and growth of Southland Printing Co., Inc. serving in the role of the Corporate Secretary and Treasurer until our Heavenly Father brought her home to his heavenly right side. In December of 2013 she filled the role of mentor and business advisor to her son John Anthony Manno, Jr., until her passing. Angie was an active member of many local organizations in the Shreveport-Bossier Community. She served as a member of the North Shreveport Women's Club, a friend of the Strand Theatre, support of both the Shreveport Opera and Shreveport Symphony and the Krewe of Gemini. Angie's catholic teachings were an important part of her upbringing and her life. She was a member of the churches St. Pius X Catholic Church and Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem. Other places that Angie's volunteered were the St. Pius X School where she served as librarian and room mother volunteer. She also was President of the Jesuit High School Mothers Club. There to greet her in Paradise are her loving parents, Sam and Sarah F. Bruno, her husband of 65 years John Anthony Manno Sr. and her grandson, Michael Peter Manno.

Left to cherish many memories are her loving sister, Leah A. Lella and husband John; son, John Anthony Manno, Jr. and his wife Lynne Manno; grandson, John Anthony "Jay" Manno, III and his wife Clarissa Manno; granddaughter, Bianca Marie "Mary" Bluhm and her husband Joseph Bluhm; and Great-Grandchildren, Johnny "Johnny" Manno, IV, Kathryn Ann Thaxton and Frank "Five" Thaxton, V.

Serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Department Managers from Southland Printing Co., Inc., Olen H. Ashby, Jr., General Manager; Alan English, Sales and Marketing Manager; Mitchell J. Timmons, Controller; Carlos B. Cockerham, IT Manager; Dale A. Spoor, Production Manager; Donna Faulkner, Office Manager; Brady Lewis, Prepress Manager; Robert Saucedo, Flexo Manager; Robert Jones, Web Press Manager; Jeff Collins, Maintenance Manager; and Richard Smith, Human Resources. The family would like to express a special thanks to Hosea Austin Lewing who worked with Angie at Southland for over 45 years and for the past three years has served as Angie's personal chauffeur; Barbara Jean Nixon, who served as the family's Administrative Assistant for nearly 25 years; the staff of all the family members of Southland Printing Co., Inc., for their long standing devotion and support; the Staff of Preferred Care at Home, Shreveport Limousine, Josie and A.J. Lewis and Chris and Bob Horne for their endearing friendship and support.
