Anita Gay Chandler was born January 26, 1951, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Frank and Geraldine Murray Chandler and passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021, in Haughton, Louisiana.
Anita was a graduate of Haughton High School. She worked for many years in retail at Circle K and Target, where she retired. She enjoyed meeting and visiting with her customers at the store and was her happiest when she was helping others. Anita was especially fond of planning the Chandler family reunions. Most of all, she loved her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was always there watching them compete on the ball field. They will miss seeing her in the stands.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sisters, Mary Robertson and Alice Roberts and husband, Harold; brother, Paul Chandler; nieces and nephews, Jeanne Robertson, Leslie Cobb, Kevin Roberts, and Reagan Smith; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Claire Cobb, Casey Cobb, Kelsey Roberts, Clay Roberts, Coby Roberts, Addison Smith, and Coltyn Smith.
Serving Anita as pallbearers will be her nephews and cousins.
