Shreveport, LA- Anita passed away peacefully on Dec. 19, 2014 at Willis Knighton Pierremont Hospital in Shreveport, LA. She was born August. 18, 1923, to Virgle and Annie Lou (Henson) Rampley at Bryans Mill, TX. Anita had two sisters, Laura Ella and Wanda Joyce. Her parents and sisters preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Carrol Ann Hanson Cook, and husband Jerry, two granddaughters, Anita Simpson, Shelley Neel and husband Pat, 6 great grand children, 5 great-great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces, nephews and special friends. Anita married Glenn C. Clarke in 1965 and was blessed with another precious family that she loved like her own. Glenn preceded her in death in1991. Anita worked for many years for the Kroger food stores as a cashier and office lady. She retired from Kroger after 30 years of employment. She continued to be active with the Kroger retirees for many years. Mrs. Clarke led a life filled with a love for GOD and her church family at Highland Baptist Church and later at First Baptist Church of Shreveport. She loved storytelling, and sharing her zest for life with all who knew her. She never hesitated to teach her daughter and grandchildren the importance of family devotion, and promoted this ideal through her loving and generous nature. A visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23. Following the visitation, a graveside service led by Anita\'s longtime church friend, Ray Boswell, will be held at 12 noon at Forest Park Cemetery on St Vincent Ave. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to Saint Jude's, the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
