Funeral services for Ann Boyett Hight, 90, will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Brother Joe Brown.
Ann was born on August 27, 1931 to Neal and Viola Harrison in Dorcheat, Arkansas and passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in Shreveport.
Ann was a resident of Shreveport and retired from Doctors Hospital after a 22 year career. She loved gardening and reading and spending time with her family. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren were the joy in her life. She loved family gatherings and all the celebrations that comes with having a large family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Hershel Boyett and second husband, Paul Hight; three children, Sherry Boyett Medlin, Gary Boyett and Cindy Boyett; two stepsons, James Hight and Tommy Hight; three brothers; and four sisters. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Beverly Lafitte and husband, Jimmy; son, Randy Boyett and wife, Cindy; two stepsons, Carl Hight and wife Tammy, and Ed Hight and wife, Jen; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honoring Ann as pallbearers will be Eric Lafitte, Randy Boyett, Jr., Jeremy Scates, Clinton Scates, Tyler Hight, Keith Lincoln, Scott Savell, Brad Kent, Tim McDearmont and Travis Ramsey.
The family would like to express special thanks to LifePath Hospice Care nurses, Kim, Brooke and Diane and all her other caregivers for their love, care and support shown to our mother. We also want to thank Heritage Manor Stratmore for their care given to our mother during her time there. A special thanks to her caregiver, Amanda Reed.
