Anne E. Murphy

Mrs. Anne Murphy of Shreveport was born January 30, 1920 in Livingston, Texas and passed away peacefully just days before turning 98, on January 27, 2018. Mrs. Murphy worked for many years at The Corner Drug Store at 70th and Southern. She was a member of Southside Baptist church. She is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings; her husband, Clinton E. Lee Murphy; son, Robert E. Lee Murphy; daughter-in-law, Gayle Murphy and son-in-law, Leroy Council. She is survived by her children, Carolyn Council of Muskegon, MI; Scott Murphy, Linda (Wayne) Webster; Dora (Edwin) Sour; Mary (Jerry) Ellis all of Shreveport and a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and many loving family members. Anne-Granny to her family, will always be lovingly remembered for her never ending sense of humor, her strong faith, her kindness and her wonderful stories and poems. Visitation will take place at Rose-Neath, Shreveport on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A private, family graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Stanley, Louisiana.
