Annette Burch Phillips

Annette Burch Phillips was born June 5, 1939, in Orange, Texas went to be with the Lord on November 30, 2024, at the age of 85, at her home in Minden, Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Lois Burch of Orange, Texas, 7 brothers: Gerald and Joe White, Pedro Burch, Amos Burch, George Burch, Bruce Burch, and Bobby Burch, 3 sisters: Minnie Seabolt, Sharon Hutson, and Winnie Lee, daughter Vicki Murphy and son-in-law Eddie Lewis.

She survived by her husband of 36 years, James E. Phillips, sister, Janice Smith (Robert), brothers, Allen Burch (Deborah) and Billy Burch (Patti) daughters, Jackie Foster (Mark) and Janice Lewis, sons Terry Rupert (Renee) and Steve Rupert (Reba), stepdaughters, Debbie Curtis (Steve), Cynthia Taylor (Brian), and Becky Baker. Also left to cherish her memory are 27 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren.

Annette loved to go fishing and camping. She enjoyed gardening, family get-togethers with jam sessions, which is how she taught her 3 daughters (growing up), how to harmonize by singing Row, Row, Row Your Boat.

In her younger days, she loved to dance and was an exceptional French two stepper and jitterbugger. She was very athletic and was on a womens softball team where she played 1st base, and she was also a master at hula hooping.

She loved cooking and passed those exceptional talents on to her son Terry. She was also an expert shooter but still not sure who had the better shot, her or her son Steve.

She and Jim shared a special bond and had an aspiring love and respect for one another. They spent many hours talking about the Lord and Heaven.

She was a faithful servant to the Lord and her prayers were that everyone would have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Annette will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Parkway Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana under the direction of Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden.

Pallbearers will be Trent Rupert, Jeremy Butts, Leslie Rupert, Marshall Bailey, Drew Lewis, and Spencer Rupert.
