Minden, LA Funeral services for Archie Sumrall, Jr. will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 10 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Russell Snider officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Archie born to Archie Sr. and Mary Sumrall June 12, 1929 in Moselle, Mississippi and entered into rest July 19, 2014 in Minden, Louisiana. He was retired from the United States Army and a veteran of Korea and Vietnam War. His daughter Renee Pinckard, sisters Birdie Jimmerson, Ethel Pittman, and Mary Hendry preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Jean Sumrall of Minden, sons Shane Sumrall of Minden, Mike Sumrall of Blanchard, daughter Diane Robinett and husband Harold of Pace, Florida, brother James Riley Sumrall and wife Francis of Jackson, Mississippi, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.   Rose-Neath Funeral Home 211 Murrell Street Minden, Louisiana 71055 (318) 377-3412
