Arthur N. Monroe, Jr.

Memorial services celebrating the life of Arthur N. Monroe, Jr. will be held Saturday September 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Pastor Trey Waller officiating.

Arthur was born March 14, 1948, in Jonesboro, Louisiana and entered into rest August 29, 2024, in Minden, Louisiana. Arthur served his country in the United States Army and was a heavy equipment operator with Newt Brown Construction Company.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Amy Duck, sister Rita Diane Gallespie, brothers, Wayne, Joe, and Clyde Monroe, and stepson Allen Monroe.

He is survived by his wife, Betty P. Monroe of Sibley, sons, Michael Monroe and Shannon Monroe, stepson, Charles Goines, of Minden; stepdaughter, Bonnie Haynes of Sibley; sister, Jessie Horn of Natchitoches; brother, Walter Monroe (Robbie) of Oklahoma, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
