Aurora Julietta Benitez Flores

Funeral services for Aurora “Aury” Julietta Benitez Flores will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 425 McCormick St., Bossier City, Louisiana. A Rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Monday, Jully 10, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Father Fidel Mondragon.

Aurora was born on March 1, 2020, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Yuliana Michelle Gutierrez-Barrera and Juan Pablo Flores Benitez, entered into rest on Sunday, July 2, 2023.

Our daughter, Aurora, was the light of our lives and brightened the hearts all who knew her. She was my best friend. My singing/dance partner. She was my sun on a rainy day and most definitely would make me laugh when I was down. She was always smiling and laughing, and the life of the party! She was my everything.  When she left this world a piece of me went with her. She was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen and had the most amazing smile. She was such a daddy’s girl. There was never a boring moment, she was my sassy girl and boy was she sassy!!! She had eyes that I could stare at for hours because they were so stunning. My daughter was so so funny and most importantly my daughter loved her brothers very much. We may not have had much time with her but I thank God for every second. Aurora was so loved and we made a beautiful resilient super loving but tough little girl. I loved her with every bone in my body from the moment I found out I was expecting her. I know you are resting and in a better place my darling and I will console myself with the fact that we will be together again one day. Not now because mama has to stay behind and be strong for your brothers and daddy but one day we will be together again I promise. Until then my sweet angel rest in eternal paradise we love you and miss you dearly. 

She is preceded in death by great-grandmother, Teresa Juventina Heredia Ortiz and great-grandfathers, Gabriel Gutierrez Salinas and Julian Barrera Martinez. Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Yuliana Michelle Gutierrez-Barrera; father, Juan Pablo Flores Benitez; brothers, Juan Pablo Flores Benitez, Jr. and Christopher Jacob Flores Benitez; grandmother, Martha Barrera; grandfather, Miguel Gutierrez; uncle, Miguel Gutierrez, Jr.; uncles, Julian Gutierrez and Gabriel Gutierrez and aunt, Marthita Gutierrez.

Honoring Aurora as pallbearers will be Abraham Guajardo, Julian Gutierrez, Miguel Gutierrez, Jr., Miguel Gutierrez, Sr., Cesar Ontiveros and Julio Rodriguez.

Los servicios funerarios para Aurora "Aury" Julietta Benitez Flores se llevarán a cabo el martes 11 de julio de 2023, a las 10:30 a.m. en la Iglesia Christ the King, en la calle McCormick 425, Bossier City, Louisiana. Se rezará el Rosario a las 10:00 a.m. Luego, se realizará el entierro en el cementerio Rose-Neath de Bossier City, Louisiana. El lunes 10 de julio de 2023, se llevará a cabo una visita de 6:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. El Padre Fidel Mondragón oficiará el servicio.

Aurora nació el 1 de marzo de 2020 en Shreveport, Louisiana, hija de Yuliana Michelle Gutiérrez-Barrera y Juan Pablo Flores Benítez. Descansó en paz el domingo 2 de julio de 2023.

Nuestra hija, Aurora, fue la luz de nuestras vidas y alegró los corazones de todos los que la conocieron. Ella era mi mejor amiga, mi compañera de canto y baile. Era mi sol en un día lluvioso y definitivamente me hacía reír cuando estaba triste. Siempre estaba sonriendo y riendo, ¡era el alma de la fiesta! Ella era mi todo. Cuando dejó este mundo, una parte de mí se fue con ella. Era lo más hermoso que había visto y tenía la sonrisa más increíble. Era una niña muy apegada a su papá. Nunca hubo un momento aburrido, ¡era una niña con mucha personalidad y, vaya, qué personalidad tenía! Tenía unos ojos en los que podía quedarme mirando durante horas porque eran impresionantes. Mi hija era tan divertida y, lo más importante, amaba mucho a sus hermanos. Puede que no hayamos tenido mucho tiempo con ella, pero le doy gracias a Dios por cada segundo. Aurora fue muy amada y criamos a una niña hermosa, resistente, amorosa pero fuerte. La amé con todo mi ser desde el momento en que supe que la esperaba. Sé que estás descansando y en un lugar mejor, mi querida, y me consolaré con el hecho de que estaremos juntos nuevamente algún día. No ahora, porque mamá tiene que quedarse aquí y ser fuerte para tus hermanos y papá, pero algún día estaremos juntos otra vez, te lo prometo. Hasta entonces, mi dulce ángel, descansa en el paraíso eterno. Te amamos y te extrañamos mucho.

Le precedieron en la muerte su bisabuela Teresa Juventina Heredia Ortiz y sus bisabuelos Gabriel Gutiérrez Salinas y Julián Barrera Martínez. Para honrar su memoria, quedan su madre, Yuliana Michelle Gutiérrez-Barrera; su padre, Juan Pablo Flores Benítez; sus hermanos, Juan Pablo Flores Benítez Jr. y Christopher Jacob Flores Benítez; su abuela, Martha Barrera; su abuelo, Miguel Gutiérrez; su tío, Miguel Gutiérrez Jr.; sus tíos, Julián Gutiérrez y Gabriel Gutiérrez; y su tía, Marthita Gutiérrez.

Se rendirá homenaje a Aurora con los portadores de féretro Abraham Guajardo, Julián Gutiérrez, Miguel Gutiérrez Jr., Miguel Gutiérrez Sr., Cesar Ontiveros y Julio Rodríguez.
