Barbara, 72, passed away June 25, 2014 in Bossier City, LA. She was born November 18, 1941, Lake Charles, LA. She was married 42 years to the love of her life, Gerald Edward Gibbs.
Barbara was the matriarch and solid rock of her family. She was at her best whipping up one of her mother\'s famous South Louisiana recipes, making enough to feed a small army. Spending time with family was one of her favorite past times. She was affectionately known as Momo not only to her grandchildren, but to many others who respected her.
Barbara and her husband Gerald owned Pap-Paw\'s Fried Chicken. She worked as a property manager for Landmark Realty for many years. She enjoyed her bowling league and once bowled a perfect game. Her greatest accomplishment was being a mother and \"Momo\" to many.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Edward Gibbs, her two sisters, Mae Dell Coleman and husband Cole, Brenda Gail McBride, son-in-law, Tracy Edward Hendrix and her parents, Thomas Joseph McBride and Leora LeBleu McBride.
She is survived by her three daughters, Gail Lynn Russell and husband Tom, Ginger G. Bigby and husband Walter, and Sandy D. Gibbs and Kevin Cox; her grandchildren, Jennifer Cyrus Spivey and husband Anthony, Whitney Hendrix Peters and husband Nolan, Jeffrey Bryan Gibbs, Zachary Edward Hendrix and wife Kylie, Jarrett Brent Gibbs and wife Natsumi, Tabitha Nicole Black, Hayden Oliver Bigby, Tommy Russell and wife Jill, and Travis Russell and wife Gina; brothers, Tommy McBride and wife Pat, Mike McBride and wife Katie, and brother-in-law, Joseph Gibbs and wife Linda. She also had 15 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Her quick wit and great sense of humor will be missed by all.
