Barbara Ann Hicks

Shreveport, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Barbara Ann Hicks, age 75 will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA with Bro Dan Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Castor, LA. There will be a time of visitation Monday, August 8th from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hicks was born in Chestnut, LA to Murrell Watson Tyler and Sadie Marie Garrett Tyler and passed away on August 5, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Hicks was a member of First Baptist Church, Bossier City, LA where she served faithfully. She loved the Lord and loved people. She enjoyed painting and music, and it brought her great joy to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an office manager for State Farm for many years.

Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by parents, Murrell and Sadie Tyler and son, Hailey E. Hicks, Jr. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Hailey E. Hicks, Sr; son, James Darrell Hicks and spouse, Leslie; Clifton Ray Hicks; daughter, Debbie Ann Williams and spouse, Kyle. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rebecca States, Marc Williamson, Andrew Hicks, Adele Hicks, Anne Catherine Hicks, Claire Hicks, Austin Hicks, Terri Cornelius and Sadie Hicks; eight great grandchildren; siblings Patsy Clements; Gail Rodriquez, and husband, Nef; Pete Tyler; Linda White and husband, Randy.

Honoring Mrs. Hicks as pallbearers will be Marc Williamson, Andrew Hicks, Austin Hicks, Randy White and Sokou Thomas.
