Barbara Jean Sanders

GLOSTER, LA- Funeral services for Barbara Jean Sanders, 66, will be held at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel at 12 noon Saturday, June 28, 2014. Officiating will be Pastor Roger Morton. Interment will follow in Summer Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday June 27, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Barbara was born in Shreveport, LA on March 20, 1948 to Eugene and Mary Stevens and passed away suddenly on June 23, 2014. She was a resident of Gloster, LA and a homemaker. She was a graduate of Fair Park and was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Stonewall. She was a very loving and caring person that never met a stranger. She had a great love for animals, she would pick up strays and take them home with her to find them a home. She was an avid gardener. She loved spending time with her family especially with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, they were the very twinkle of her eyes. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Jean Sanders Hamm; brother, W.E. Stevens, Jr.; grandparents, Buddy and Ruby Stevens; grandson, Randall Gene Sanders. She is survived by her parents, Gene and Mary Stevens; husband of 43 years, Michaels W. Sanders; son, Steven Lamar Sanders; daughters, Jamie Lynn Sanders, Tuesday Marie Sanders; son-in-law, Thomas Hamm; grandchildren, Sasha Banaka, Michael Sanders, Amber Banaka, Matthew Sanders, Justin Atkins, Ally Hamm, Gracie Hamm and Josh Sanders; sisters, Jane Olinger and husband, Larry, Peggy Molcany and husband, Bobby; numerous nieces and nephews; great-grandchildren, Tay, Remy, and Eli.
