Barbara Gail (Garcie) Sepulvado, 62, passed away in Shreveport, LA on October 4, 2021 after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 21, 1959 in Zwolle, Louisiana to William "Jack" Garcie and Wilma Bernice (Parrie) Garcie.
Visitation will be held for her on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm, with a vigil/rosary beginning at 6:00 pm at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many, Louisiana. Her visitation will continue on Thursday morning at the funeral home from 8:00 am -9:00 am. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zwolle, Louisiana; with Father Francis Kamau officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Barbara was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. In addition, she was a strong Christian woman who was always willing to help any and every person in any way she could. She loved volunteering and working at her church, St. Joseph Catholic Church. She took joy in her role as a member of the CCW - St. Helen's Circle. She was a member of the VFW Post 5187 where she served proudly as the chaplain. In addition, she also was proud of heritage; she was a member of the Choctaw Apache Tribe. Some of her hobbies include spending time with her family, friends, and most importantly her grandchildren; they were her life. Holidays were her favorite times of the year; she loved cooking and spending time with her loved ones. Her favorite occasions were Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Sepulvado, Jr; her parents, William P. "Jack" Garcie and Bernice (Parrie) Garcie; and her brother, Benny Garcie. She is survived by her sons, Brian Sepulvado of Noble, LA and Chris Sepulvado & wife, Dana of Noble, LA; her sisters, Annette Ebarb & husband, Dennis of Noble, LA and Melinda Sepulvado & husband, James of Noble, LA; her brother, William Donald Garcie & wife, Amy of Noble, LA; and her grandchildren, Colin Christopher Sepulvado, Chandlor Blaize Sepulvado, Preslee Kate Sepulvado, and Aubree Rose Sepulvado. In addition, she leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.
Honoring her as pallbearers are Stephen Garcie, Joey Garcie, Scott Procell, Eric Laroux, Dewayne Ebarb, and Jake Procell. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Cade Robertson, Kaleb Gatti, Donald Sepulvado, and Dennis Rutherford.
