Barbara J. Short May 9, 1944 - March 8, 2025 -

Funeral services for Barbara J. Short, 80, will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Officiating the service will be Reverend Andrew Brewster.

Barbara passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 8, 2025, in Bossier City, Louisiana. She was born on May 9, 1944, in Akron, Ohio.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Clarence F. Conrad; her mother, Edna E. Slough; and her sister, Dorthey Brock.

Barbara is survived by her loving family: her son, Franklin (Robin) Short; her daughter, Barbara (Dub) Barnard; and her cherished grandchildren, Franklin Short Jr., Nicole (Jeff) Richman, Thomas (Tiffany) Short, Brandon (Amanda) Matchum, Rickey Martin, Kandace Wyllie, along with multiple great-grandchildren.

Barbara will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched.
