Barney M. Jones III

Shreveport, LA - Funeral services for Barney Marion Jones III will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery in Jacksonville, TX. The family will recieve visitors at 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday. Officiating will be Bro. WIlliam M. Jones. Barney enlisted in the US Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He recieved a silver star and was a Green Beret. He was born on November 15, 1937 in Mission, TX to Delores Virginia Coyne and Barney M. Jones, Jr., and passed away on July 28, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Shirley R. White Jones and Betty Lindquist Jones, and grandson, Travis Holland. Those left to cherish his memory are his three daughters, Leanne Moore and her husband, Ed, Lorri Bentz and her husband, Tom and Leslie Boren and her husband, Michael; grandchildren, Scott Bentz, Emilee Bentz and Erica Cardin; great-grandchildren, Noah Holland and Natalee Bentz; brother, William M. Jones and his wife, Mary Margaret. Also numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
