Barton Conway Armstrong

SHREVEPORT, LA - Barton Conway Armstrong, age 61, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017, following a lengthy illness. A native of Shreveport, Barton was born on November 24, 1955 to George Conway Armstrong and Irene Violet Marsh Armstrong. Barton was named after his late uncle, Barton Boyd Marsh, who served in World War II and his late father. He spent 25 years working for American Plywood before retiring. Barton was preceded in death by parents, George and Irene Armstrong. He is survived by his sisters, Susan Armstrong, and Connie Watts and husband, Hearchel Frederick; nephews, Geoffrey Watts and Michael Watts; Aunt, Roberta Marsh Kennedy; grand-nephews, Kellan and Micah Watts; along with numerous cousins and extended family. A memorial service for Barton will be held at a later date.
