Benjamin Franklin Emerson

Funeral services for Benjamin Franklin Emerson, 96, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Father Francis Kamau officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Benjamin was born January 17, 1922 in Monroe, LA to Perry and Leola Emerson and passed away on March 31, 2018 in Shreveport, LA. Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters; wives, Josephine Emerson and Molly Emerson; and daughter, Betty Finister. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Brenda Emerson, Judy Muhammad, Mary Russell and husband Mike, and Barbara Miles and husband Selwyn; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
