Zwolle, LA- Funeral services for Mr. Benny Ray "Dude" Rivers 72, of Zwolle, LA will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Francis Kamau, FMH officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 from 5:00-10:00 PM and beginning at 8:00 AM on Thursday, September 12, 2019 with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many, LA. Benny was born May 3, 1947 to Elzado (Sepulvado) and Robert Odis Rivers in Converse, LA and he went to be with the Good Lord on September 9, 2019. He married his loving wife; Wanda Jeter and they have celebrated 52 years of wedded bliss. Together, they welcomed six children into their home. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Jeter Rivers of Zwolle, LA; children: Alisa Craig and husband, Cleve; Amy Rivers and fiancé', Chris Sepulvado; Shane Rivers; April Rivers and special friend, Chris Adair; Angela Sepulvado and husband, Steven; Amelia Morgan and husband, Michael. His grandchildren include: Damon Craig and fiancé, Jennifer Ninh; Dayton Craig, Mary Craig, Meghan Meshell and husband, Steven, Raygan Sepulvado, Ben Remedies, Dominic Sepulvado, Brenten Rivers, Shaelyn Rivers, Kody Franklin, Erin Rivers, Dallas Britt and fiancé, Kiley Cloud, Riley Britt, Charlea Britt, Grantley Sepulvado, Brynley Sepulvado, Auldyn Sepulvado, Maci Morgan, Kayli Morgan, and Hadli Morgan. He has been blessed with nine great grandchildren: MaKayden, Delaney, Sophie, Sadie-Mae, and Luke Meshell; Karley and Langston Sepulvado; Bentley Remedies; and Carter Craig. In addition, Dude leaves behind ten siblings that include: Bobbie Ezernack, Kay Ezernack, Brenda Carter and husband, Doug, Janice Lewis and husband, Randy, Gloria Carrier and husband, Mike; Howard Rivers; Larry Rivers and wife, Sandra; Joe Rivers and wife, Shirley; Roger Rivers; and Timothy Dean Rivers and wife, Darlene. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert O. and Elzado Rivers; infant daughter, Sonya Ann Rivers; grandson, Logan Brant; brother, Terry "Cheese" Rivers; and brothers-in-law, Billy Ray Ezernack and Charles Rudolph Ezernack. Honoring "Dude" as pallbearers will be grandsons: Damon Craig, Dayton Craig, Ben Remedies, Dominic Sepulvado, Dallas Britt, Riley "Chuck" Britt, Brenten Rivers, Auldyn Sepulvado, Grantley Sepulvado and nephew: Bubba Lance Rivers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kody, "Smooth" Greg, Kirt, Trevor, Justin, Pookie, Cole, Preston, Roddy, Cord, Matt, Josh, Cade, Waylon, Joshton, Alex, Dalton, Bo, Landon, Dakota, Delane, Colby, Kyle, Heath, and Austin.
